Fully Funded Solar (PPA)
Solar Power. No Upfront Investment.
A commercial solar PPA lets your business run on solar electricity without buying the system. SolarTech and its funding partner install, own and maintain the installation on your roof; you simply purchase the electricity it generates at an agreed rate.
The basics
What is a fully funded solar PPA?
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a long-term contract under which a funding partner pays for, installs and maintains a solar system on your building. Your business buys the electricity the system generates at a rate agreed in the contract, typically at a level designed to sit below your usual grid price.
Because the funding partner owns the asset, your business avoids the upfront capital cost entirely. SolarTech manages the whole journey: assessing your site, arranging the funding partner, designing and installing the system, and providing ongoing support across the life of the agreement.
In brief
No upfront cost. You purchase the solar electricity you use under an agreed PPA tariff. The electricity is not free; it is bought at an agreed rate. Eligibility depends on your site, consumption and roof, and is confirmed before anything is committed.

How it works
How a solar PPA works
Four parties, one simple flow: the system is funded and managed for you, and you pay only for the electricity you use.
Funding partner funds the system
SolarTech arranges a funding partner who pays for the installation and owns the asset under the agreement.
The system is installed on your roof
SolarTech designs and installs the system. Installation and ongoing maintenance are managed within the solution.
Your business consumes the electricity
Your operations draw on the solar electricity first, before importing from the grid, reducing your purchased energy.
You pay the agreed PPA rate
You purchase the electricity you use at the rate set out in the PPA, giving long-term pricing visibility.
Is it right for you?
Who a solar PPA suits
A fully funded PPA is designed for organisations that want the benefits of on-site solar without committing capital, and are comfortable purchasing the electricity the system generates over a long-term agreement.
Your business prefers to preserve capital rather than invest it in energy infrastructure.
You have significant daytime electricity use that solar generation can offset.
You occupy a site with a suitable roof and a long-term commitment to the location.
You want protection from rising grid electricity prices with predictable contract pricing.
The benefits
What a fully funded PPA delivers
No upfront CapEx
The system is funded by the PPA partner, so your capital is not tied up in energy infrastructure.
Long-term pricing visibility
You purchase solar electricity at a rate agreed in the contract, giving predictable energy costs over the term.
Installation and maintenance managed
The system is installed and maintained within the solution, without operational burden on your team.
Reduced exposure to grid prices
Generating and consuming electricity on site reduces the volume you buy from the grid.
Carbon reduction
On-site solar generation can reduce your operational carbon emissions and support sustainability reporting.
Long-term energy planning
Agreements can potentially run for up to 25 years, supporting long-range energy and budget planning.
The process
From first conversation to first kWh
- 01
Site assessment
We review your site, roof and consumption data to confirm a PPA is viable for your building.
- 02
Proposal and PPA terms
We prepare a tailored technical and commercial proposal, including the agreed PPA tariff structure.
- 03
Installation at no cost
Once the agreement is signed, we design and install the system. There is no installation cost to your business.
- 04
Generation and ongoing support
The system generates; you pay the agreed rate for the electricity you use. We provide agreed ongoing support.
