Our story
Built on Conviction. Proven by Delivery.
A story about two founders, one standard of engineering, and a belief that UK businesses deserve energy they can trust.
SolarTech · Commercial Solar · United Kingdom
Energy your business can rely on. Advice you can believe.
That belief is where SolarTech began, and it is the thread running through every chapter of this story.
Captured
Daylight becomes clean electricity on your own roof or land.
Engineered
Designed around your site, your consumption and your goals.
Working
Powering your operations from day one, with one team accountable.
Lasting
Performing and cared for across decades, not seasons.
Where It Began
SolarTech began with two people, and one frustration neither of them could ignore.
Sambu Sakiliba Kanteh and Abderrahman Kaltoumi came to energy from different worlds — renewable energy, international business development, investment strategy and complex project delivery. From every vantage point, they saw the same pattern: bold promises at signing, thin delivery after, and businesses left holding complicated contracts for assets nobody stood behind.
Their response was a conviction that is simple to say and demanding to keep: commercial renewable energy should be built like critical infrastructure. Engineered properly. Financed honestly. Delivered by people who own the result.

The Foundations
The foundations were laid long before the company had a name.
Since 2015, the founders built their craft on early renewable-energy projects — assessing sites, understanding consumption, structuring deals, and learning what holds up in delivery, and what does not.
Those years hardened into the principles SolarTech still runs on: underwrite the engineering before the commercial, model the economics on real consumption rather than estimates, and never sell a system you would not stand behind for its whole operating life.
We are precise about this on purpose. This is the story of the founders' experience; SolarTech the company came later, formally incorporated to carry that experience forward. We do not blur the two — because you should never have to wonder which promises come from track record, and which come from marketing.

The road so far
Building SolarTech
SolarTech was built deliberately, capability by capability.
Commercial and industrial solar PV. Battery energy storage. Project development, engineering, procurement and construction. Funding solutions. Long-term operations and maintenance. Each one added to close a gap that breaks solar projects — between sales and engineering, between finance and delivery, between commissioning day and year fifteen.
Today, one team assesses your site, designs your system, structures your funding, delivers your installation and stays accountable for how it performs — on commercial rooftops and utility-scale farms alike.

“Engineer it properly. Price it honestly. Own the result.”
The standard SolarTech was built on
Chapter 04 — What we believe
Five Principles Behind Every Project.
Integrity
We tell you the truth about your site, your numbers and your options — including when solar is not the answer.
Innovation
We keep improving how we design, finance and deliver solar, guided by what actually works on real projects.
Collaboration
The best outcomes come from working closely with you, your funders and delivery partners from day one.
Accountability
One team owns the outcome. The promises made at proposal stage are the promises delivered on site.
Long-term value
We build energy assets that earn their place over decades — not installations that photograph well for a week.
Where We're Going
The story is still being written — and it is being written on rooftops and open land across the UK.
The UK needs a cleaner, more resilient energy system, and commercial organisations will build much of it: on their roofs, on their land and on their balance sheets. Our ambition is to keep making that transition commercially viable — and to grow SolarTech into one of the most trusted names in commercial renewable energy, known for the quality of its engineering and the honesty of its advice.
We measure progress the way our customers do: projects that perform, savings that materialise, and relationships that outlast the installation.

A message from our founders
Why We Build SolarTech.
We built SolarTech around a simple standard: do the engineering properly, price the work honestly, and be accountable for it for decades, not months.
